Well I couldnt go the week without running (as if!) but I have cut down the mileage this week, I have done 17.78km in all - I may do another 5 or 10 tommorow. I have been doing 1/2 hour cross trainer each day + 10mins cycling. Today I did my quickest 5km thats ever been recorded on my Nike+ kit, I did the 5k in 26mins 53seconds.
I did a weigh-in today and I weigh 14stone 12pounds, which is a one pound loss since last friday. Im quite surprised as I have drunk beer a few nights this week so a loss is a bonus.

Did a long run outside today, 12.26km in 1hour 17mins - quite a slow pace but I had some trouble with sciatica pain. I think I’m going to the doctors next week to get an MRI scan sorted and possibly an operation as my injury has dragged on for 8months now.
I think I will have a break from running next week as well and get some swimming and cross trainer done.

Did a pretty fast tempo run today, 10km in 57.54 - I had to stop 3 times because of sciatica pain so that totalled around 4 minutes - if I knock that off thats a quick time for 10km (for me anyway) so Im pretty pleased. I dont think this sciatica pain is going on its own - going to have to go doctors and get an MRI scan, Im fearing that I’ll have to have surgery so Im going to put it off for a bit and enjoy my running before I do that.

Started the weekwith quite a good outdoors run, 10.02km in 59mins. Sciatica pain was there but managable with a couple of stops. Going to try and do 50km this week - the rest of the runs will be indoors I think.

I had a massive kebab dinner last night so today was quite hard going - felt like I didn’t have much energy so I only did 5.13km in 30mins 54seconds. Very sluggish.
Not a bad week though - I have done 40km in total which is quite good, its looking like this month could be my highest ever in mileage which is quite surprising considering my sciatica problem!
Today I did this same warmup and stretches as yesterday and again no shin trouble at all, I had quite a bit of sciatic pain though and had to have 4 1minute walks bent over to get rid of it. I did 10.03km in 1hour 2minutes 22 seconds - a bit slower than usual because of the leg pain.
I think I may have a rest tommorow before I do a long run on saturday so I did my weigh in, I now weigh 14stone 13pounds - I’m finally under that 15stone mark with a 2 pound loss since last friday. Feels good to finally get under that mark but now I have to push on and get to 14 and half stone!

Today’s run was pretty much exactly the same as yesterday’s : 10.04km in 1hour 42 seconds. I had some sciatica pain which I got rid of by walking for a minute at a time and leaning forward on the treadmill, I did this around 3 times.
Before I ran today I did 8 mins on the cross trainer, 5mins cycling and massaged my right shin - I had no shin splint pain at all today which was great, I must remember to do this each time before I run now.

First run of the week today and I did 10.07 km in 1hour 46 seconds. Had some sciatica pain and quite a bit of shin splint pain in my right leg. I went straight into the run without any warmup or stretches which is a bit stupid of me. Tommorow Im going to do a warmup on the cross trainer and exercise bike before I run to see if that helps. If not I may have to take a short break from running to let it get better.

Today’s run was strange - I felt like I had no energy, I think maybe because I had a curry for dinner last night - not exactly rich in carbs. Felt very sluggish, my legs and back felt fine though so thats a bonus. I managed 7km in 41mins 45seconds, a reasonable run to end the week on I think.
