40 Minute run + Weekly weigh-in

Having felt great running all week, today was supposed to be a long run and I was aiming to run at a slower pace for an hour - that didn’t go to plan at all. Right from the start I didn’t feel right, I was lacking in energy - I have been running at 8.5, 9 and even 10 on the treadmill all week but today I started on 8 and was struggling. I think it was because all week I had been having breakfast around 9, then a bacon roll around 12 and then running around 1pm. Today I had breakfast at 9.30 and was in the gym running at 10 so I think I didnt have enough time to digest my breakfast and get the energy from it. I think I will try another run tommorow and have a proper big breakfast just to check that is the reason.

The weigh-in wasn’t great either, I think I overdid it last weekend on the beer and had a couple of takeaways; for that reason I only weighed in a pound lighter at 16stone 9pounds - not even to 16 and a 1/2 yet. Im going to go to the gym tommorow and do another weigh-in as I think I might be able to drop another pound by then.

All in all, not a great week for my weigh-loss but I had some great faster runs in the week, I suppose its striking a balance between improving fitness and losing weight.
