Eventually I finally feel like I’m getting there! After tuesday’s session I had a day off yesterday to go fishing and got back into the gym today, here’s what I did :
- 15 mins Cross Trainer
- 15 mins Exercise Bike
- 10 mins run
- 20 mins Exercise Bike
- 10 mins run
So thats 20 minutes of running achieved today - Although not in one go, it feels great to be back running. Also the 15minutes on the Cross Trainer was the most upright exercise I’ve done for ages. Feels great and feels like Im getting somewhere after all these frustrating weeks.
To celebrate I have ordered a new Nike+ kit as mine has run out of battery again (this is my 3rd kit!), I have also ordered a new armband for my iPod nano. Once I have run for 60mins continuously my reward will be a new pair of Asics Kayanos.
A note on my fitness - the whole gym session felt quite easy, I was sweating a lot and can tell my fitness needs lots of work but I think a few weeks of proper running and I should be doing 10ks again no problem - the Manchester run is on may 16th so I have 8 weeks to get ready for it.
Looking forward to tommorows session to see if I can do more + will be my rist weekly weigh in for a while.
