I finally did it! Im under 15stone for the first time in ages - it feels really good to have beaten this plateau I have been on for the last 3 weeks, it was getting really frustrating. It just goes to show that when your exercise routine has gotten stale and you plateau - mixing things up a bit really works. I achieved this by throwing in HIIT and weight training when I had been doing steady state cardio for ages.
Today I did an hour on the cross trainer on hill intervals which was quite hard towards the end, I ended up burning around 700 calories according to the readout.
My muscle are aching today from the HIIT and weight training kicking I have given them - hopefully they are recovered for tommorow so I can do my 10k long run.
My aims for next week are to carry on with the HIIT and weight training with maybe 1 or 2 shorter runs thrown in - Im going to be aiming for a 3 pound weight loss which will put me on my way to 14 1/2 stone.
